Hi Reader,
β
β
Here's something I notice consistently with founders at the multi-six-figure stage:
β
β
The more support they have around them, the more invisible a specific problem becomes.
β
β
They have a coach. A mastermind. Maybe an OBM or a VA. A bookkeeper. A small team.
β
β
By every measure, they're not doing this alone. And yet, they're still the only ones who can see how all of it fits together.
β
β
I call this the Business Board of Directors problem.
β
β
Here's what I meanβ¦
β
β
Whether you've designed it intentionally or not, you already have a Business Board of Directors. It's the collection of people who support, advise, and execute across your business.
β
β
The challenge is that each of them sees a different part of the picture:
β
β
Your business coach sees your strategy and growth vision.
Your mastermind peers see your challenges and wins.
Your mentor sees your long-term trajectory.
β
β
Your bookkeeper sees financials - but not strategy.
Your OBM sees execution - but not your bigger vision.
Your team sees their piece - but not the whole picture.
β
β
If you haven't mapped who sees what in your business, you can't see what you're missing.
β
β
And what's missing is almost always the same thing: someone who holds it all.
β
β
Not just the strategic layer. Not just the operational layer. Both. At the same time, with full context, in real time.
β
β
When that seat is empty, you automatically fill it. Every decision, every integration point, every moment where strategy needs to translate into action? It runs through you.
β
β
That's not a capability problem. That's a structural one.
β
β
One client put it simply during his intake: "I want people in my circle who know and recognize my worth and vision - operating on the same frequency."
β
β
That's what changes when the missing seat gets filled. You stop being the only one who can see how it all fits together.
β
β
πThe Board Mapping Exerciseβ
β
Take a moment to answer these questions:
β
β
1. Who on your current board sees your full business ecosystem - strategy AND operations, vision AND execution?
β
β
2. Who's holding the complete context of your business right now - not just their lane, but the whole picture?
β
β
3. When what should be happening doesn't match what's actually happening, who catches it and helps you course correct?
β
β
4. When you're the only honest answer to questions 1, 2, and 3 - what is that costing you?
β
β
β
If "just me" kept coming up - that's not a strength. That's the gap.
β
β
Reply and tell me what came up. I'd love to hear what you're sitting with.

P.S. Starting this week, I'm moving to a bi-weekly email schedule - temporarily - while I focus on a few key projects. You'll hear from me every other Tuesday. Same insights, just a bit more breathing room on my end. Back to weekly when the timing is right.
